812 Theater
Fans and friends of Cannery Row's 812 Cinema gathered at the theater on May 21, 1981 in peaceful protest over the eviction of the theater by its landlord. The theater, known for its offbeat movies and use of pillows instead of standard theater seating operated on Cannery Row for 11 years. The owners went on to open the Dream Theater.
