Attorney W.K. Stewart, Ira Sandperl and Joan Baez listen as the County Board of Supervisors conduct a use permit hearing that Joan Baez was seeking for the Institute for the Study of Nonviolence school that she was trying to create and to be operated in Carmel Valley on December 1, 1965.
